Newport Colony Apartments

I’ve lived here for the past 6 years. It was truly a place to call home. The floor plan for the 800 sf 1 bedroom was perfect. Pretty quiet neighborhood. The location was perfect since it’s near to grocery stores, pharmacies, the mall, doctors, gyms, pretty much all of your needs are met within 10 minutes. The staff at the leasing office are very accommodating (especially Matt and Javon) and the maintenance guys are always on point. I only moved since I bought a house or else I’d still be there. Nice place to live.

They keep asking me to give a review, so here it is. I have lived here for over 2 years, and it is a solid 4.5 stars. The good: The apartments are spacious. The prices are more than fair for the area. The community is very safe, I have yet to have any safety concern. We even have like 3 or 4 cops that live here. You see their cars parked. People who live here are very kind in my experience, people walk their dogs, children play around and people get together on the pool area. The office staff is very attentive. The maintenance team is INCREDIBLE. We have reported maintenance issues through the website, and they are very prompt and professional. All types of issues and the maintenance team is just great. You are close to everything, shopping centers, supermarket, a trail, a car wash. The bad: The outside of the apartments could look better. The gates are always broken (Like I said above, I have no safety concerns, but it is a recurring issue. They have been broken 95% of the time I have lived here) Trash can get out of hand at times, piles by the entry. Overall, I have been very happy here. I would recommend moving in.

I moved here a few months ago, place seems quiet and close to most things. The only issue i noticed is around building 9 the car port lights and the street lights have not worked from the hours of 7:30/7:45pm through 6:00 am for almost three months now. My concern is if you always claims you care for residents safety why is it taking so long to fix an issue, it is almost like the office personnel do not believe the lights are not functional during the night hours. Guess they are waiting for a resident to get hurt before they resolve the issue. Do better!

These reviews are fake, they are boosting their rating. Place has roaches and the exterminator's can't figure it out I was there 2022 to 2023 couldn't wait to get out I left a month early and paid rent in 2 separate apartments to be rid of this infestation and have had no issues since. This place is dirty pipes are old appliances are outdated and run down like the community. Front desk staff is incompetent including Adam. I've never left a review on a community I lived in but this place needs to be demo'd. They only keep up what is legally mandatory. Can't wait to see they don't recognize my name as a reply. I can post my lease agreement if you want proof. It's cheap all you're getting, don't expect anything else but a roof and walls with possible mold. Good Luck.

We've been here almost 5 years and we love the quiet surroundings and big wraparound porch. Big rooms for the price. Thanks to Elis and the maintenance crew for keeping our spaces in good shape! Elis noted that my air conditioning was turning on quickly while he was here and looked at the AC unit outside and said he wanted to save me some money by giving us a new AC unit!
